Purple Pilgrimage

Being the Prince Fam you are, you know that taking a trip to MPLS and Chanhassen / Paisley Park is THE Purple Pilgrimage. The entire area breathes Prince. IS Prince.

In 2017 I decided to take the trip from Denmark to MPLS to join the “Celebration” at Paisley Park and to visit some of the most famous Prince spots around the MPLS and Chanhassen area.

After some research for recommendations and addresses, I discovered that most information provided was limited, but there was also misinformation and discrepancies in the information. That’s when I decided to go all-in to see how many places I could find.

6 years of research

Now, after 6 years doing research, visiting MPLS / Chanhassen in 2017, 2018 and 2022, speaking to people and taking photos, my small list became a huge list that went all the way from Prince’s birth to his transition and beyond.

I eventually found out there are many places that were not so oblivious. The project grew and when I spoke about it, people were interested in knowing about those places: I realized that many fams probably would have the same questions about what is worth seeing. Besides that, many fams may never have the opportunity to visit and see the places.
